The American Cancer Society makes significant investments in cancer research, advocacy, and patient support, including information and education on prevention and early detection as well as treatment options. A smaller portion of our resources are used to fund our management and general expenses, as well as fundraising expenses.

Yes, monetary donations to our organization are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. However, certain donations in which the donor receives a good or service in return for a donation are not tax deductible or may be only partially deductible. This would apply to American Cancer Society initiatives such as the Cars For a Cure program, Golf Pass programs, and Discovery Shop purchases. Donors should consult with their tax advisors if they have questions about their deductions.
